Leather on Skin

Leather brings a sense of luxury that establishes its uniqueness and class among all other materials in fashion and interior design.

Amidst the emerging summer heat, society's most stylish converged in one venue, all garbed in fashionable looks with touches of leather. Furniture label Furnitalia organized the first "Pelle Leather Ball", merging the diverse styles of fashion and furniture. Pelle, Italian for leather or skin, became the inspiration for three of the country's top designers who showcased their respective collections during the ball.

The three designers had a muse of their own who modeled the finale piece of each. From Rhett Eala and Apples Aberin, Rajo Laurel and Mandy Santos, to Randy Ortiz and Tweetie de Leon, each designer showcased a three piece collection, playing with cuts and textures of leather and fabric. The show was creatively styled by the genius, Henri Calayag. After the show, guests enjoyed an Italian feast of prosciuttos, wine and cheese among others, as DJ Romeo Calvacante turned up the party beats.

The show commenced with Furnitalia's owner Florence Ko, with her designers, muses, and esteemed guests, offering a toast to everyone for the success of Furnitalia. After the success of the "Pelle Leather Ball", Florence Ko during her speech mentioned that it is planned to be a grand event every two years. Well, after that wonderful night, I'm sure everyone will be anticipating the next leather ball to come.
